Department of Literacy & Multilingual Studies
Overview
Communication is an essential skill that all students need to succeed, whether as children, teens or adults. With the training you will receive from our Teaching Literacy, TESOL, and Bilingual Education programs, you can respond to the critical national needs for literacy teachers and for teachers of English language learners. Your certifications will enhance your standing as a curriculum leader and provide new professional options going forward.
You will have the chance to prepare non-native speakers and improve or master their English in order to gain professional footholds, in the United States and internationally.
