Norman Simon

As a proud Mercy alum, Norman was very excited to be returning to the University in a teaching role. He
recently received his Master of Arts in Government with a concentration in Democracy Studies and Governance
from Johns Hopkins University, where his thesis focused on the post presidential period of former
presidents' lives—a fascinating but understudied time when many former presidents made some of their most important contributions to the nation and global community. This topic continues to interest him, and he is eagerly awaiting President Clinton’s book on his post-presidency. Over the past year and a half, Norman has been working at the Putnam County Executive’s Office, gaining valuable insight into how local government functions from the inside.
