Dr. Jade M. Felder Appointed Assistant Vice President of University Advisement and Innovation
Mercy University is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Jade M. Felder, Ed.D., M.S.Ed., as assistant vice president of university advisement and innovation.
“This appointment represents a tremendous opportunity to join Mercy at such a pivotal time in its history as a newly cemented university,” said Dr. Felder. “I am truly looking forward to embracing the Maverick community and shaping the strategies that contribute meaningfully to student enrollment, advisement, and successful completion.”
Dr. Felder brings a wealth of experience in higher education, particularly in enrollment management, student retention, and experiential learning. In her new position, she will oversee advisement and student success strategies across the Enrollment Management (EM) office and the PACT Program, aligning with Mercy's goals for improving retention and graduation rates.
Prior to joining Mercy, Dr. Felder served at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where she was the director of student transitions and undergraduate class dean. There, she led the development of an innovative experiential learning program and gained extensive experience in advising strategy and student success initiatives. Dr. Felder began her career as a middle school teacher and has worked as an admissions and learning specialist at the University of Miami.
Her educational background includes an Ed.D. in higher education leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education and Human Development, an M.S.Ed. in enrollment management from the University of Miami, and a B.S. in music theory and education from Alabama A&M University.
Dr. Felder’s appointment marks an exciting chapter for Mercy University as it continues to enhance its commitment to student success and institutional excellence.
