Dear Adjunct Faculty Members and Lecturers,
Mercy College and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) met on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, to continue negotiating the collective bargaining agreement between the parties.
It was a productive session, as we reached a tentative agreement on the article on Academic Ranks. In addition, we continued our discussions of proposals on Appointments and Assignments.
We are pleased that the parties have continued to advance discussions on this initial agreement. The College and the SEIU have two additional sessions scheduled in February 2022 to continue these negotiations. We will provide you with regular updates on progress as this important process moves forward.
