NurseJournal Features Associate Dean of Nursing Deborah Hunt

Mercy College Associate Dean of Nursing Deborah Hunt, Ph.D., RN contributed to an article titled, “Ask a Nurse: Am I Too Old for Nursing School?” published on NurseJournal.org, a social community website for nurses and health care providers to provide educational resources for those interested in the nursing careers.  

In the article, Hunt emphasizes that it is possible for students of all ages to successfully complete nursing school and “transition to their professional practice roles.” She goes on to describe what prospective nontraditional students can expect in a nursing program and strategies for nursing students who are balancing work, school and family life.
