Accommodation Memo

After registering with ACCESS, you will be prompted to sign release forms and receive your Accommodation Memo. This memo notifies your professors that you are registered with ACCESS and outlines your approved accommodations. Importantly, it does not specify your disability, and you are not required to share this information with your professors.

Please note that Accommodation Memos are term-specific and only valid for the semester in which they are issued. To activate your accommodations for each new semester, you must submit a Term Request via Accommodate.

To request a copy of your Accommodation Memo:

  1. Log in to Accommodate using your Mercy credentials: Mercy Accommodate
  2. Click on "Term Request" and select "Add New."
  3. Choose the correct term and click “Review for Renewal.”
  4. Submit the request.

For a detailed, step-by-step guide, please refer to this Student Term Request Guide.

Note: Once your request is approved, you will see “Approved” next to each accommodation under the Term Request tab.

If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact us at accessibility@mercy.edu.
